Axel has technology in his blood. He began his career as an engineer, developing numerous patents along the way. After completing his MBA at Cambridge, Axel fell in love with consulting. Since then, he has advised some of the world’s largest companies, including MedTechs, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare leaders.
Axel is passionate about the development and go-to-market of new technologies. He works hands-on with his clients to create sustainable business models – and is their reliable partner for their implementation.
Today, Axel possesses extensive project experience and expertise in the areas of Digital Health Applications (DiGA) and digital diabetes care. He guides leading MedTech companies in their pricing strategies and finds innovative ways to access and succeed in the German healthcare system through advisory services.
To relax, Axel enjoys sailing or indulging in Netflix binges. His laughter is hard to miss, so you’ll know when he’s in the building – or in town.
Torsten’s passion is Digital Health: After starting his career as a consultant at ZS Associates, Torsten worked for more than 20 years at industry leaders like Johnson & Johnson or Becton Dickinson. He was responsible for all commercial areas in marketing and sales, as well as strategic topics like market access, reimbursement, and business development. Torsten’s home turf is Diabetes Care: He puts his heart into bringing modern Diabetes technologies into the patients’ daily treatment. His experience covers products from SMBG/CGM and insulin delivery systems to digital Diabetes Management Systems.
At Digital Oxygen, he supports MedTech and pharma clients with their successful digital transformation of value proposition, marketing, and sales: Be it customer-centric product development (e.g. for DiGA and DiPA), go-to-market strategies, product launches, or digital sales strategies.
Privately, Torsten leads the fulfilling double life of a passionate runner and devoted couch potato – with a (usually unsolicited) opinion on basically every soccer club.
